From 1992 to 2025: expanding the Manlleu Primary Care Centre with modular construction

In 1992, Constructora d’Aro built the current Primary Care Centre (CAP) of Manlleu. Over 30 years later, CompactHabit—the modular construction brand of Constructora d’Aro—has completed the expansion of this healthcare facility using 3D concrete modules.

The healthcare centre had become too small for the town’s needs, and the expansion with industrialized modular construction made it possible to add more space quickly and efficiently. This modular extension has added 6 new consultation rooms, providing nearly 160 m² with minimal disruption to the centre’s daily operations.

The modules were fully manufactured and equipped at our Cardona facility and installed on-site in just 4 months, thanks to our industrialized construction process.

Modular construction enables the upgrade of existing infrastructure—regardless of its original design—and this project is a prime example. CompactHabit’s modular building system allows for the construction of healthcare centres and public facilities with up to 70% shorter build times and over 80% reduction in workplace accidents, thanks to the controlled environment of factory-based construction.
