Hospital modular Arnau de Vilanova Lleida

The “New Multipurpose building attached to the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital in Lleida” is already a reality. The project, promoted by the Catalan Health Service of the Generalitat de Catalunya (CatSalut), seeks to provide a solution to the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic to prevent the saturation of the health system.
The design and construction of the building was completed in just 20 weeks and consists of 63 industrialized modules. It has almost 4500 built square meters, where we find 88 beds in four floors divided into Covid area and non-Covid area. The outbuilding is connected to the main building with a walkway and has an innovative room opposite for visitors of infected patients.
The building was designed by the PMMT architecture firm using the Compact Habit eMii-CS system and used BIM and Lean methodology.
