residencia modular construida amb construccio industrialitzada
Flags now fly over the new modular residence for future airline pilots at Lleida-Alguaire Airport. This symbolic event marked the completion of the structure and the installation of factory-equipped three-dimensional concrete modules, using an industrialized construction process.
The project consists of two modular buildings: one for educational use and the other residential. The residence comprises 44 three-dimensional concrete modules, which were installed in just 6 days, during Easter week.
The topping out ceremony brought together all the stakeholders involved: Constructora d’Aro, Aeroports Públics de Catalunya, and BAA Training, the international company in charge of pilot training and the future operator of the facilities.
Speakers at the event included our Technical Director Magda Blazquez, Evgenij Grachiov, COO of BAA, and Jordi Candela, Director of Aeroports de Catalunya. All emphasized the innovative capacity of a Catalan company to deliver a high-quality modular project in record time thanks to industrialized construction, helping to position Lleida-Alguaire Airport as a benchmark in the field of aviation training.
During the event, the flags of Catalonia and Lithuania—BAA’s country of origin—were raised, symbolizing the international dimension of the project.
Construction began in mid-January, and the facilities are expected to be completed by July. The project highlights the efficiency of CompactHabit’s industrialized modular construction system, which significantly reduces building timelines and accelerates delivery.
